On June 7, Syrian human rights activist and former detainee Noura Al Jizawi will join acclaimed Syrian lawyer Noura Ghazi to discuss the political and psychological effects of forced displacement and arbitrary detention in Syria and present the efforts of Start Point team in these issues.

Together, they will examine Assad’s policies of demographic change, emerging legislative threats to land and property rights, and the implications of such trends for women and girls.

While in Brussels, they will participate in the European Development Days 2018 and explore the role of women in mediation and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
